Kitchen Tools & Recipes · Triangulum, Inc.
Effective date: September 22, 2026 · Last updated: October 16, 2026

Short version: your recipes, meal plans and shopping lists live on your device. When you use the Recipe Reader, the Recipe Creator or the Meal Planner, what you send is processed and then discarded — we keep no copy. There is no account, no advertising, and nothing that tracks you. We count how often each feature is used, and those counts hold nothing that points to you.

1. Who we are

Kitchen Tools & Recipes is developed and published by Triangulum, Inc.("Triangulum", "we", "our", or "us"). If you have questions about this policy, contact us atprivacy@triangulumsoftware.com.

2. What stays on your device

The conversion, cooking, substitution and shelf-life charts work entirely offline. So does writing a recipe by hand. The following is stored on your device and we never receive it:

  • Your saved recipes, however they got there.
  • Your planned weeks and the shopping lists built from them.
  • Your household — who lives there and what they can and cannot eat.
  • App settings, such as your theme and unit preference.

This content is stored on your device. On iPhone and iPad it is included in the device's own backup, iCloud Backup or a backup to a computer, if you have one turned on. On Android it is included in your device's standard Google backup, so it returns if you reinstall or set up a new phone. In both cases the copy is held by Apple or Google under your account — not by us.

3. What is sent, and what happens to it

Some features cannot work on the device alone. When you use them, this is what leaves your phone:

  • Recipe Reader: the photographs you take of a recipe.
  • Recipe Creator: the ingredients you say you have, or a photograph of a dish you want to make, together with anything you add about the household the recipe is for and the dietary requirements it should respect.
  • Meal Planner: the details you have entered about your household — the number of adults and children, any dietary requirements or allergies, ages and names if you chose to add them — together with the recipes you have asked the planner to use.
  • With all of them: a random identifier created on your device, and your App Store or Google Play subscription receipt.

That information is sent to our service, which passes it to Anthropic, the provider of the AI model that reads the recipe, writes the recipe or builds the plan, and returns the result to your phone.

We do not keep it. Your photographs, recipes and household details are not written to any database, file store or log on our servers. They exist only for as long as it takes to answer the request. The single thing we store is a counter — how many free requests an installation has made in the current period — which is deleted automatically once it is no longer needed.

4. The random identifier

The app generates a random identifier the first time it runs and sends it with each request. It is not linked to you, your name, your email address, your device's advertising identifier or any account. Its only purpose is to count free requests so the free allowance can be applied fairly. It is not used to build a profile, and it is not shared with anyone.

5. Subscriptions and payment

The Recipe Reader, the Recipe Creator and the Meal Planner are auto-renewable subscriptions. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your card, billing address or Apple Account details. What we receive is a receipt identifier, which we send back to Apple or Google to ask a single question: is this subscription currently active? We do not store the answer.

6. Advertising and tracking

There is none. To be specific:

  • The app contains no advertising network and shows no ads.
  • The app contains no analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting SDK of any kind, and nothing in it reports what you tap, read or look at.
  • We do not use your device's advertising identifier.
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share personal information.

What our service counts. When a request reaches our service, we record that it happened: which feature was asked for, whether it succeeded or was refused, whether it came from a free, trial or paid installation, the platform, app version and language, how long it took, and what the AI model charged us to answer it. These counts tell us what to fix and what each feature costs to run.

They carry no identifier — not the random identifier described above, not your subscription, and nothing you sent or received — so they cannot be traced back to a person, a device or an installation. Our hosting keeps ordinary request records alongside them: the time, which endpoint was called, the result and how long it took. The caller's network address is discarded rather than stored, although the city and country it resolves to are kept. All of it is deleted automatically after 30 days.

7. Health and dietary information

Dietary requirements can include allergies and observances such as halal or kosher. If you enter them, they are sent with a planning request so the plan can respect them, and they are subject to section 3: processed and discarded, never stored by us. They are entirely optional — the app works without them, and the charts and your own recipes never involve them at all.

8. Children

Kitchen Tools & Recipes is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. A household can include children, and a parent may enter a child's first name and age so that meals suit them. That information is entered by an adult, stays on the device, and when it is sent as part of a planning request it is handled exactly as section 3 describes. Both fields are optional.

9. Third parties

  • Anthropic — processes recipe photographs and planning requests on our behalf, under terms that do not permit using that content to train their models.Anthropic Privacy Policy
  • Microsoft Azure — hosts our service.Microsoft Privacy Statement
  • Apple and Google — distribute the app, handle payment, and hold the device backup described in section 2, under their own policies.Apple ·Google

10. Your rights and choices

Because we hold no account and store none of your content, most requests are answered by the app itself:

  • Delete everything: deleting the app removes the content on your device. If it is in your iCloud or Google backup, delete it there as well.
  • Export a copy: Settings offers a backup file you can keep or move to another device.
  • Stop sending anything: use only the charts and hand-written recipes and nothing leaves your phone.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or California and want to exercise a right we cannot answer that way, write toprivacy@triangulumsoftware.com and we will respond. In most cases the honest answer will be that we hold nothing to give you.

11. Changes to this policy

If a future version changes what is sent or stored — an optional account, for example — we will update the effective date above and describe the change before the feature ships. The current policy is always atwww.triangulumsoftware.com/kitchentools/privacy.
